"Chungju Police Assist Foreigners in Resolving Crimes: A Model of Community Policing"

As a foreigner living in the  city of Chungju, it is important to be aware of the laws and regulations in the area. To feel safe and secure, it is necessary to have the support of the local authorities. Fortunately, the police in this city are extremely welcoming and helpful towards foreigners.

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet my student , a police officer named  Lee, Song won ( 이성원 in Korean language) or James as his English name ,who informed me that as a foreigner, I have the right to report any crimes that I witness or experiences I may have. This was a relief for me, as I had been concerned about my safety in the country. I was pleased to know that the police department was making an effort to accommodate the foreign population in Chungju.

He gave me detailed instructions on how to report a crime, including the contact information for the local police department. He explained that there are English speaking officers that are available to assist in case a foreigner requires any help. It was comforting to know that language barriers would not be a hindrance when it came to seeking help in urgent situations.

He also gave me a rundown on the different types of crimes that could be reported, including theft, assault, domestic violence and any others that may occur. He emphasized that the police department takes these crimes seriously and works diligently to investigate and bring perpetrators to justice.

Overall,the police department in Chungju has been extremely positive. Their willingness to help foreigners and ensure their safety is commendable. It is gratifying to know that all foreigners have the support of the local authorities, and I am confident that I will continue to feel secure and protected while living in this city. The police department has indeed given me one less thing to worry about!
