As a foreigner living in the  city of Chungju, it is important to be aware of the laws and regulations in the area. To feel safe and secure, it is necessary to have the support of the local authorities. Fortunately, the police in this city are extremely welcoming and helpful towards foreigners. Recently, I had the opportunity to meet my student , a police officer named  Lee, Song won ( 이성원 in Korean language) or James as his English name ,who informed me that as a foreigner, I have the right to report any crimes that I witness or experiences I may have.
